Virtual assistant of formalities

The Virtual Assistant for Municipal Procedures is an AI-powered tool that helps citizens find the appropriate municipal procedure and explains how to complete it in any language. It understands natural language queries, guides users to the relevant procedure, and refers them to the citizen support service when needed. Its goal is to make municipal services easier to access, reduce processing errors, and improve the overall citizen experience.

Digitalitza’t

It is a network of five community-based digital support hubs across the city. The service is open to everyone and staffed by young people from the local area who are trained to work as Community Digital Agents, helping residents navigate online services, complete digital procedures, and build confidence using technology.

Digital Divide Focus Groups

This project follows on from the 2022 survey study on digital access, technology use, digital skills, and awareness of public administration digital services.
In 2024, a qualitative study was carried out through semi-structured interviews and focus groups with five specific target groups. The aim was to gain an initial understanding of the challenges they face, identify barriers and needs related to digital inclusion, and help shape future municipal actions and support measures.

Digital Divide Survey

In 2022, as part of the L’Hospitalet 6.0 initiative, the L’Hospitalet City Council and Mobile World Capital carried out a study on the digital habits and skills of residents in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The study was based on a survey of 2,000 local residents and aimed to assess levels of digital access, technology use, digital skills, and awareness of online public services across the city.

Endolla't

Endolla’t is a project promoted by the L’Hospitalet City Council, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, and the Pere Tarrés Foundation. Its aim is to help bridge the digital divide by empowering citizens — particularly adults aged 55 and over — through digital skills training focused on the everyday use of technology and digital devices.

Immersive NadaL’H

During the 2024 Christmas season, the L’Hospitalet City Council, Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, and the Mobile World Capital Foundation brought the magic of Christmas to children spending the holidays in hospital through immersive virtual reality experiences.

Pilot ERCA

The ERCA Project was a pilot programme testing a new telemedicine tool for people undergoing dialysis treatment. The tool was designed to give patients clear information about their condition, help them get familiar with different treatment options, improve their ability to handle and resolve common issues, and reduce the psychological impact of both diagnosis and treatment.
A total of 20 residents of L’Hospitalet took part in the pilot, which ran from December 2022 to June 2023.
The project was developed in collaboration between the L’Hospitalet City Council, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Vodafone, and Bellvitge Hospital.

DESFAKE

The Desfake project is an innovative media and information literacy programme that gives teachers and students tools to identify reliable information, improve their online search skills, and protect themselves from misinformation and disinformation.
